Distribution channel

A distribution channel is the path a product or service takes to reach its end customer. It may be direct — sold by the brand itself — or indirect — through resellers, affiliates, or franchisees — each with different margins, lead times, and degrees of control over the customer experience.

In practice

PageOneBoost uses direct sales through its website, a network of agency resellers across Europe, and a referral partner program in Asia-Pacific simultaneously. Each channel carries a different acquisition cost and customer lifetime value. The franchise channel scales quickly but demands heavier upfront training investment. The trade-off between channels depends on the operational capacity to sustain growth without degrading quality.
