Google spam policies

Google’s spam policies list practices that invite sanctions: cloaking, mass low-value content, bought links, doorway pages, and site reputation abuse. They are enforced both algorithmically and through human review.

In practice

The official document evolves; the March 2024 additions — scaled content abuse, site reputation abuse, repurposed expired domains — reclassified practices that had long been tolerated. Our position is straightforward: everything the group publishes must be able to withstand scrutiny from a Google reviewer without a single line needing to be removed.
