In practice
Google restricted FAQ rich snippet display in August 2023 to government and health sites, but the markup remains useful for generative responses (AI Overviews) that draw from well-structured FAQ markup. Each entry should contain a complete question and a self-contained answer of 40 to 60 words. Avoid rhetorical or overly promotional questions — Google favors genuine informational ones.
