Podcast SEO optimizes episodes for Google results (which has indexed podcasts since 2019), Apple Podcasts, and Spotify through properly structured RSS feeds, descriptive titles, and indexable text transcriptions published on the episode page.

Google indexes podcasts and can display an audio player directly in the SERP for queries matching an episode’s subject. To maximize this visibility: name each episode with the target keyword first in the title, publish the full transcript on the episode page, and submit the RSS feed to Google Podcasts Manager. The transcript also serves as conventional SEO content on the site.
