The process by which a franchisor identifies, qualifies, and selects franchisee candidates. It encompasses concept promotion, selection interviews, project and financing validation, and contract signing following DIP delivery.

Franchisee recruitment is a full commercial process in its own right: the franchisor is selling a life investment, not a commodity. The average time from first contact to signing is 6 to 12 months for credible networks. Primary channels in France include the Franchise Expo Paris trade show, specialist platforms such as FranchiseMag and L’Express Franchise, and specialist business introducers.
