Content syndication
Syndication republishes content on third-party sites by agreement: partner press, platforms, aggregators. Properly tagged, it extends audience reach; poorly managed, it allows the copy to outrank the original.
In practice
The safeguard: require the republisher to add a canonical pointing to the original, or at minimum a clear source link. Without it, a more authoritative outlet can capture the ranking for text it borrowed from you. Syndication is managed like any distribution channel: a partner list, written rules, and periodic markup verification.
