Network support

All the actions a franchisor takes to maintain cohesion, performance, and motivation across franchisees: field visits, national conventions, best-practice sharing, commercial challenges, and working groups. It is the central function of the network head after the launch phase.

In practice

Network support is the most demanding discipline in franchising: it requires management, coaching, and commercial relationship skills. An effective network support manager is a growth partner, not an inspector. Annual conventions should combine training, results-sharing, and recognition of top performers. A network without a national convention for two years is a reliable signal that collective momentum has stalled.
