Franchisee committee
A franchisee committee is a representative body of network operators, responsible for engaging with the franchisor on strategic direction, concept changes, and the use of the shared advertising fund.
In practice
In mature networks, the franchisee committee meets quarterly with the franchisor’s management. It can block or delay a price change if a majority of members considers the increase unjustified. Its existence signals network maturity: a franchisor without this body risks a growing disconnect between central strategy and field reality, which is a common source of disputes and terminations.
