Network head
The franchisor in its role as organiser and driver of the network. The network head is responsible for development strategy, brand protection, concept innovation, and the quality of support delivered to franchisees.
In practice
The network head must balance two competing imperatives: standardising enough to ensure brand consistency, while leaving franchisees sufficient autonomy to adapt to their local market. High-performing networks define precisely what is non-negotiable — visual standards, recipes, maximum pricing — and what is left to local discretion — secondary layout, local communications. A franchisor that no longer operates its own pilot outlet progressively loses touch with the operational reality of its own concept.
