Organic traffic groups the visits originating from natural search results. It is the volume indicator for SEO — always to be read alongside quality: pages per session, conversions, attributed revenue.
In practice
An honest reading separates branded traffic — which would have arrived anyway — from non-branded traffic, the real conquest gain. Drops are diagnosed by cross-referencing: seasonality, algorithm updates, pages that fell in rank, SERPs reshaped by new blocks. The aggregate number alone says almost nothing.
